Poetry Recommendations
Hello again! I hope you are having a fantastic day. Today I want to talk about poetry books. These are starting to get really popular now and I couldn't be more excited. I love poetry because its very easy to read and also (I find it) fun to read between the lines to figure out what the author was trying to get across to the reader. So today, I am going to share with you two poetry books I have read and tell you a little bit of what they're about.
The Edge of Wonder
Victoria Erickson

This poetry book is about nature. It is beautifully written and is perfect for anyone with wanderlust. Every time I would read any of her poems, I would just feel the need to go outside and run in the flowers. If you love the feeling nostalgia and outdoorsy-ness, this is the perfect poetry book for you.

Milk and Honey
Rupi Kumar

I'm just going to start by saying; this.book.is.beautiful. It really truly is. I am also going to say right away, that this book isn't for everybody. It covers very heavy topics such as "violence, abuse, lost, love, and femininity". But, if you are comfortable reading about these things, it is quite a book to read. One thing I love about poetry books is that they are easy to read, in the sense that they are short, but in order to really understand it, you have to dig deeper. That is one of the reasons I really enjoy this book. Rupi lets us reader into her mind and it is beautiful to read. (Also, she has little doodles that she drew herself, and it just adds to the overall aesthetic of the book.)

Thanks for reading and I'll see you in my next post!
