Summer Survival: Summer Reading
Hey guys welcome back to my second post in my summer survival series! In todays post I'm going to be covering my tips and tricks when it comes to school summer reading and then just summer reading for fun. Lets get started!
This is a good tip to stay organized. Remember, if you have selected books you must read for school, to include them in your selection process. Another tip is to choose books from many different topics and genres so you'll stay interested throughout the whole summer!
These are just some of the many ways to make summer reading a little more easy and a more enjoyable experience all around. I hope you've gathered some ideas you can incorporate into you reader routine. Feel free to leave your feed back in the comments concerning your ideas on the topic. I'll talk to you guys in my next post.
Tip one: Set Realistic Goals
A book log is a good way to set goals and stay organized |
This one is pretty self explanatory. Be realistic when setting a goal number of books you want to read. Take into consideration how many book you've read in the previous months leading up to summer, and use those numbers to set monthly goals that can be easily used when deciding how many books you'll read over the summer. If you want a good starting number, I'd suggest about 2 books a month and then feel free to add more on if you finish the said 2 books before the month is over. At the end of summer, you would have read a total of six books- not bad!
Tip two: Pre-Select the Books

Tip three: Come up with a Schedule
My last tip is to come up with a schedule so you can stay on top of your reading goals. My suggestion for this is to write down either in a planner or a calendar when you start a book and then set another date for when you want to finish it.

I hope you've gathered some ideas you can incorporate into you reader routine. Feel free to leave your feed back in the comments concerning your ideas on the topic. Until next time!
